Faculty Exhibition Opens Eastern’s Fall Art Gallery Season

Eastern Connecticut State University’s Art Gallery will host its first exhibition of the Fall 2018 semester from Aug 30 to Oct. 11. The exhibition will feature nine artists from Eastern’s faculty who specialize in the arts of printmaking and digital art. An opening reception will take place on Thursday, Sept 6 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the university’s art gallery, located in room 112 of the Fine Arts Instructional Center.

The exhibition shows off the Digital Art and Design concentration offered at Eastern.  It is a flexible and dynamic program that offers courses in the field of Visual Communication Design. This area of study has been expanding every year with Eastern’s program encompassing both print and screen design, illustration, animation. Students also have ample opportunities to work with actual clients. The university prides itself on its innovative and talented faculty and events like these are a great way to see our very own professors in action.

The exhibition will feature the work of June Bisantz, Tao Chen, Nancy Friese, Ed Hogan, James Holland, Terry Lennox, Lora Li, Simonett Quamina, and Jane Rainwater.

Gallery hours are Tuesday and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursdays from 1 to 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 5 pm.
