Marvel at Hairstyles at Natural Hair Club’s Hair Show

Aline Silva   Contributing Writer

Natural Hair Club is all about embracing your natural hair, so it only makes sense they showcase it in a hair show! On Sunday, April 28, from 5-7 p.m., come down to the Betty Tipton Room and see hair as you’ve never seen it.

The show will feature six scenes that showcase hair in all different forms. “It’s Curl Time” by Keila DeLaCruz will have natural curls in various styles and patterns on display. Brionna Cunningham will present “For the Culture” featuring five stunning braid styles you don’t want to miss, as well as “Glow Up” to deliver unique wig looks. “Peculiar” by Leaja Johnson will surely add a shock factor to the show by incorporating objects into each hair style. She is also in charge of the “Royalty” line so the audience knows what true kings and queens look like. “Providing the Wave” by Messiah Gordon might cause a tsunami because he’s revealing five durag looks. This is Natural Hair Club’s biggest event thus far, so come show your support (and yes there will be food!). You can also leave the show with something extra, the vendors Smoove Rags and 2ChichByUnique will be right outside selling durags and mink lashes. However, before you attend this, don’t forget to “Provide the Wave” and come out to their Wave Check event on April 26! Come show off all your hard work.

Natural Hair Club is a gender inclusive organization that welcomes all hair types to every meeting to discuss new events, issues in today’s society, and to provide tips on taking care of and styling your hair.
