COLTON continues to wait for his Mom’s computer to unfreeze.
What’s your name?
(stares at the dog)
No, not you. Your dog’s name.
Oh. Her name is Sadie.
Sadie… Can I kiss her?
Kiss my dog…?
ANNA and COLTON stare at GUS as he presses his lips on the top of the dogs head for several seconds. He finally leans back and continues to pet the dog.
(continues to stare at GUS)
It unfroze? Are you logged in to Facebook? Great. There should be a pop-up in the corner that asks if you want the computer to remember your log-in information. Press “accept”.
(pets the dog)
You have such a good dog.
Okay, Mom. I have to go. Don’t worry about it, it was no problem. All right, love you, too. Bye.
COLTON hangs up the phone and stands up. GUS stops patting the dog’s head to look at him.
Yep. I’m going to pick-up some coffee.
Do you mind if I come with you?
(looks at GUS)
Yeah, you can tag along.
(pretends to be uninterested)
Yeah, you know, I’d go too, but I’ve got places to go. You guys go ahead, I’ll catch you both some other time.
GUS leans forward and kisses the dog’s head one last time. The other two stare at him then they start to walk away with ANNA.
Hey, you guys have a good day!
Thanks, you too, bud.
GUS stays seated on the bench, finishing his coffee while staring straight ahead. ANNA and COLTON exchange glances as they walk away from him. They EXIT.
